Watercolour Restoration, Paper Conservation and Conservation Framing

Based in Cambridge, UK, Museum Conservation Services Ltd are specialist art restorers providing paper conservation, watercolour restoration and conservation framing services to clients throughout the UK and abroad.

We concentrate on the conservation and restoration of graphic works on paper and historic photographs. We offer a comprehensive, high quality service at competitive rates. In addition to practical conservation work we provide a full range of conservation related advisory services. These include preventative conservation (passive conservation)

Our team of professionally qualified conservators would be pleased to assist you with any paper conservation, watercolour restoration and conservation framing project you might like to discuss.

The studio was originally established more than 30 years ago in the Fitzwilliam Museum as part of the Area Museums Service for South Eastern England.  In April 1995 we joined the private sector and moved to larger premises in the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, just outside Cambridge.  Our studio is spacious, well-lit and equipped with the latest technology.  Some of this equipment was built to our own specification by the Department of Engineering (University of Cambridge).  Security is excellent, with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-site security (the studio has been accepted by the National Museums Security Advisor for Government indemnity).
