Museum Conservation Services Ltd. specialises in a range of conservation services for works of art on paper including watercolours, drawings, photographs, prints, maps, wallpaper and ephemera. We have conserved everything from drawings by Leonardo da Vinci to a roll of historic toilet paper.
With more than forty years of experience we are proud to have worked with many leading museums, galleries, historic houses, collectors, art dealers and private individuals across the UK and abroad. From removing acidic board and treating stains on watercolours through to remounting and framing to museum standards, no job is too big or small for our conservators.
Before any work is started, we carefully assess the item being treated so we know the full extent of the problems. We then tailor our work accordingly to ensure we reach the best outcome possible within the budget available.
We have a fully equipped studio housed within the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, just outside of Cambridge. We also have on-site security 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure all artworks are protected.
